Satan’s taken the form of a movie executive and wants to destroy a pristine Manitoba forest to shoot a battle scene for a blockbuster sequel to a blockbuster sequel to a blockbuster film about the card game “War” entitled… you guessed it, War III.
God’s not having it, so he shows up as an environmentalist to ask Satan to relocate the shoot, which would destroy the habitat of the last three Gray-Crested Starlings known to exist.
Instead of heeding God’s plea, Satan captures one of the rare birds and has his personal chef craft it into a delicious meal.
God’s response is, of course, The Plague, beginning with turning all of the water into blood and giving everyone on the crew painful boils on their posteriors.
And so it goes, back-and-forth, with the two immortals tormenting each other, between conversations that play out like long-lost friends catching up and reminiscing about the good ol’ days.
If you're the kind of person who likes to spend $30+fees to watch two actors list, enumerate, itemize, name, note, specify, recite, spell out, recount, identify, report and mention every possible item, article, piece, element, object, feature, thing, detail, particular, component, factor, aspect, part, ingredient, token, facet, artifact, member, unit, portion, respect, minutia, characteristic, variation, segment or technicality of every topic, subject, theme, matter, issue, question, motif, problem, concern, thesis, affair, case, business, focus, motive, idea or talking point that could come up in an hour’s worth of conversation, then you’ll love this show.
The rest of us are better off staying home.
